Maine Tourmaline Jewelry Handcrafted in Gold and Argentium Sterling Silver
Dan Bennett has lived most of his life in Maine. The rolling hills and the rocky coastline constantly inspire this artist. Dan’s interest in rocks and gems began at an early age. Family vacations with his parents always included mineral collecting trips and visits to rock shops. His start in jewelry making began while living in Camden, Maine in the 1980’s. With the help of his Father, Dan purchased the contents of the Perry Basin Rock Shop from Betty Brown. The equipment and good energy from Betty and her late husband gave Dan his start in the Lapidary arts.
Combining his skills in gem cutting and metal-working enables Dan to create one of a kind handcrafted jewelry. Often crystals, minerals and fossils are set to show their natural beauty and grace.
You can see Dan’s work and meet him at the First Light Gallery. 92 Main St. Belfast, Maine. 207-338-3626.
